Overview
Owning property in Los Angeles comes with real exposures: fire, water damage, tenant and visitor injuries, earthquakes, and lost rental income while repairs are made. A single uncovered loss can wipe out years of returns.
We insure apartment buildings, mixed-use and commercial buildings, and vacant buildings and land. We'll review your current policy, your lender's requirements and your tenants' leases to make sure nothing important is missing.

Who it's for
Apartment owners, landlords, commercial and mixed-use building owners, investors holding vacant buildings or land, and property managers.
Many standard property policies limit or reduce coverage once a building has been vacant for a set period. If your building is empty or about to be, let us review your policy before a loss happens.
Why work with Assan Insurance Agency

Common questions
Does my property policy cover earthquakes?
Usually not. Earthquake damage is excluded from most standard property policies and needs separate coverage. Given LA's risk, it's worth reviewing with us.
What is loss of rents coverage?
If a covered loss like a fire makes units unlivable, loss of rents coverage replaces the rental income you would have collected while the building is repaired.
Can you insure a building that's vacant or being renovated?
Yes. Vacant buildings and properties under renovation need the right type of policy. Tell us about the property and timeline, and we'll find the right fit.
My lender requires specific coverage. Can you help?
Yes. Send us the lender's insurance requirements and we'll make sure the policy and certificates match them.
